Insurance Verification and Billing Policy

Please be advised that while we assist in verifying your insurance benefits, it is ultimately the patient's responsibility to confirm their coverage, including whether telehealth services are included. Some insurance companies no longer cover telehealth, and we may not be aware of these changes until after we submit your bill. We strongly recommend that you contact your insurance provider prior to scheduling to confirm your coverage, including specific details regarding mental health care.

Important Note: Verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment. You are ultimately responsible for any costs not covered by your insurance plan once the claim has been processed.

When completing your new patient intake forms, please upload a copy of your insurance card and a photo ID. It is essential that you inform us of any changes to your insurance coverage, as well as any updates to your address or phone number prior to your appointment.

We strive to accept a wide range of insurance plans. However, each insurance policy has different benefits, and we cannot know the specific details of your individual plan. It is your responsibility to verify your benefits and coverage details directly with your insurer prior to receiving services.

Co-pays, Deductibles, and Payment Responsibilities

As part of our agreement with health insurance providers, we are required to collect co-pays and deductibles. For patients with co-insurance or outstanding deductibles, we will request a good-faith payment, which is an estimate of what you may owe, 24 hours before your appointment.

Once the insurance carrier processes your claim, you may be billed for any remaining balance.

To facilitate the billing process, all patients are required to have a credit card on file in our secure electronic medical record system. Your cost share (co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles) will be auto-charged to the card on file 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Out-of-Network and Private Pay Patients

If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, we can still provide services on an out-of-network basis. In this case, you will be responsible for the full cost of services and we will provide you with an invoice (super bill) which you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement, though this is not guaranteed.

If we are contracted with your insurance carrier,  the fee is determined by the contracted rate schedule set by your insurance plan. Private pay rates vary by time and complexity. For patients who do not have insurance or prefer not to use it (self-pay), full payment will be auto-charged to the credit card on file 24 business hours prior to your appointment.

We believe in transparency in billing and fees. The private pay fees do not include cost of medications or labs, but we partner with Cost Plus Drug Company which offers an affordable option to accessing medications.
